What fun we had!!!!Yesterday all nine members of the family went on a great sea adventure. Starting by going down to the wharf for an outing. We ended up going on the sea life adventures boat. The boat ride was amazing! We went round the bay and listened to a marine biologist who told us about the native south African sea life, including a dolphin that only lives in table bay called the heavy side dolphin. I also learnt about an unique species of fish called a sun fish. This is one of the weirdest looking fish in the world. They look like a disk about the size of a diner plate and are a muddy grey. They feed only on jelly fish and if need be they will dive down to a depth of 600m. Though you can not keep them in captivity because they need natural light to survive. We also saw lots of seals. Here are some photos of our amazing day.

On My Way!

Phew, just got of my 7 hour flight from Auckland to Perth with only a few dramas. Already I'm exhausted and I've still got an overnight plane trip ahead of me.  It has been 12 hours since my family and I have left Hawke's Bay Airport but I am already missing the familiar surroundings and Knowing how to get most places. I think that just being on a plane is an amazing experience that lots of people don't get to do especially at my young age.But one of the most important things I've learnt is to never carry long scissors in your pencil case like my elder sister Tessa did. She found out that they have to be under a certain length and had to leave hers at Auckland. We all found this quite amusing and she saw the funny side in the end. After we finally arrive in Johannesburg we still have to fly 3 more hours before we get to our holiday destination,Capetown, the capital city of South Africa.

Write soon.
